COSMO!!
We finally decided it was time for an addition to the family. It turned out that dogs are just a bit cheaper and easier to care for than babies, so voila!

Paul found Cosmo online at Second Time Around Aussie Rescue, thank you Kim! We set up a time to visit and he won our hearts. It turns out that getting a rescue dog is much like adopting a child. Lots of questions, visits to the house to see if we have an appropriate living situation and many papers to sign.

He is an amazing dog that settled into our way of life immediately. Extremely smart and full of energy. We love him.

Do I get the treat now?

Big smile for the camera please.
On Serene Lake, near Sugar Bowl in Lake Tahoe.
This is one happy dog in the snow.

My 2 Aussies. You try living with two Australians
and their endless energy. Cosmo now jumps
on the trampoline just to be like Paul.
Mush you Husky... I mean Aussie!
Here is Cosmo training to be a Husky. He actually pulled Paul and I down Venice Beach on our
roller blades. He nearly pulled me into a sand dune!! Great way to tire him out.
"You complete me."
Cosmo and his "Uncle Dave". They are obviously good buddies. Cosmo is a total water dog:
inner tube, surf board, herding kids, you name it!
  Just gathering energy...
He sleeps! We managed to tire him out so that
a nap in the sun was needed.
Oh, this feels good.
In his personal pool on a hot day at home.
Happy dog!
I dare you, leave the house, I won't eat your socks....
This was Cosmo when we first got him. Check out the surfer head of hair on him.
